Members of the Greater Manchester Sing Their Name Choir will be taking part in the Grief Opera taking place on Saturday 9th May in Liverpool
When Nigel Linacre lost his son, George, to suicide he started to write. His words were put to music and the Grief Opera was born.
Members of the Greater Manchester Sing Their Name Choir will be taking part in the opera when it is performed from 7pm on Saturday 9th May in Liverpool.
The Grief Opera shines a spotlight on suicide and the consequent, harrowing grief. Its creators hope it will enable people to have potentially life-saving conversations and to work with their grief.
“An extraordinary journey from shock and pain to profound love, the Grief Opera may be the most emotional show you see this year.
“Heart-breaking but hopeful”
“Harrowing but ultimately uplifting”
